Violent Tendencies Empty Violent Tendencies

Tabitha was no one’s little helper. Tabitha was her own woman. She happened to belong to a guild for personal reasons. Namely because she was a homeless young woman and a dark guild suited her needs. Still, she didn’t answer to anyone. She was at her house playing the violin for hours. She actually spent the entire morning and most of the afternoon doing just that. It was soothing. She didn’t have to worry about being hit on, or annoying guild mates. She didn’t even worry about her friend. It was just her and music. There was almost nothing in life Tabitha enjoyed this much, and nothing she enjoyed in this way.

Eventually, as it neared the evening, Tabitha put away her violin, stretched, and headed to the guild. She should perhaps head there to see someone she liked. Why not? She wasn’t all that keen though, perfectly happy being alone today, but feeling she should do anything. She couldn’t help but check the guild board. She always looked to see if something caught her fancy. Today it was something about murdered children. Her body language didn’t change, but she felt tense. Someone hunting children. She took a deep breath, her shoulders rising and falling for an instant before she snatched up the paper. This was not happening.

Violent Tendencies Empty Re: Violent Tendencies

With paper in hand, the violet haired woman headed straight for the woman’s house. It wasn’t a nice house, and the woman was sitting outside. Lifeless. Tabitha grew even more tense, walking up and straightening her skirt in anxiety. She hadn’t seen a woman look like this in so long, and it tore at her inside. She looked like she could have been an attractive woman, had the life not been draining out of her. Tabitha struggled to even keep looking at her as she walked up.

A-are you here about… the job?” she asked immediately. Was this all she cared about? Was this her whole life? Tabitha nodded slowly. The woman looked near death, but as they spoke, Tabitha realized it wasn’t any sort of sickness. She lost her will to live. She’d lost her son, like other parents in the area. This wasn’t a nice part of town, and this wasn’t a nice town. Tabitha listened intently, not wanting to divide her attention at all. It was impossible not to divide her attention though. She couldn’t help but thing about her mother, how much she’d loved Tabitha… and how much her father hadn’t cared when he threw Tabby out.

I’ll get him. Don’t worry… I can’t fix what has happened, but I’ll end this,” Tabitha said, her slender hand on the woman’s dirty one. She didn’t seem to have anything left to live for, but she nodded at this, and it seemed like maybe this would help, at least a little.

Her knee length black skirt swooshed as Tabitha walked through the slums. She had on shorter black boots, the skirt hiding two of her knives. Behind her back she had two more knives, hidden under a long sleeve lace and cotton black shirt. She looked almost nice, more modest than usual, but the light was gone from her eyes. She’d been growing so much nicer of late. She as happier, and had at least one sane person in her life again. That was good, it was healthy. None of that reflected in her look of violence as she pushed open the door to the butcher’s shop.

She saw a greasy, disgusting looking man heading toward the door. The sign still read “Open” but from his scowl, he’d been planning to change just that. He even told her that much. “I’m closing up shop.

Don’t care,” Tabitha said, with none of her usual charm. She didn’t care. What did she care about him and his thoughts? He was red face, fat, covered in blood. She couldn’t tell if that was human or animal blood, and his meat cleaver didn’t scare her. “So, heard anything about all those little kids disappearing around these parts? It’s a real shame, innocent life being wasted and all. Not that I’d say I know anything about that… but do you?

Nope. I don’t know anything about that, lady,” he told her. His eyes said otherwise. His eyes said she should get out, now. She knew that look. She was treading on ground she wasn’t permitted to pass over. She was unwanted and a threat. It really was like her father. “Like I said, I need to close up shop.

Then we can talk after you close up. I’ve got all night,” she told him. She could only imagine what he did at night. Even if he wasn’t the one killing the children, he deserved to suffer. A man like this. She didn’t think he was innocent though, she was sure he was guilty. His attitude at the inquiry just screamed it. Something must have been screaming, because she could hardly hear anything over the bubbling in her ears. Maybe that was the anger again.

He headed into the back of his shop, and she followed without hesitation. No, he wasn’t sneaking off, he wasn’t getting a delay, and he wasn’t staying out of her sight. Too bad he had gotten out of her sight. She caught sight of him smirking at her before she felt the searing pain. Her sleeve was torn completely off, as was an amount of skin on her left arm. And now she could hear screaming.

Violent Tendencies Empty Re: Violent Tendencies

She’d been grabbed by the meat hooks and her arm flayed, but she pulled away, flipping backwards and stumbling out of the room entirely. The expletives flying from Tabitha’s would have been reminiscent of her rougher days on the street. She’d had less tact back then, but right now she didn’t care for tact. She couldn’t really even think straight. She picked herself up and pulled two of her daggers out from behind her back. As she ran into the room she threw them both. Her left arm’s aim was horribly off, but when a cleaver blocked one throw, she was already using her strings to angle the left dagger back at him. This was unexpected, so she managed to stab it into his arm. She cast her rope spell, grabbing his leg and pulling it out from under him. On his back he couldn’t keep fighting, and Tabitha was able to knock back his meat hooks and cleaver.

Most of it showed as a blur in her mind. She jumped on him, stabbing his arms down into the floor, before wrapping her string around his throat. It was a blur of blood, and she tuned back in when his head was in the display counter. Tabitha left the store, wiping the blood off her knives onto her skirt. She’d have to dispose of all of these clothes.
