Tabitha was bored. Bored of all that… near death stuff. The problem was, she tended to get into even more trouble when she was bored. She really needed to avoid this, so she took a small trip. She travelled to Blue Pegasus territory. She had been at a bar, looking totally innocent, listening to some guy talk about a job. It wasn’t quite a job he was doing, but it was clear someone needed to investigate. Oh, goodie, and apparently they’d sent for Blue Pegasus? Boring, so utterly boring. Did these people not even want results? Well, Tabitha would just have to handle this for them, after all, she was bored.

She headed to the area she’d heard of, Clover Town graveyard. Hadn’t she had enough jobs in graveyards? Well the last one had been fun, working with Sharaku. This one just didn’t seem like fun. She doubted strongly that this would be fun. After all, who went to Blue Pegasus for fun? No, she’d have to make her own fun, as always. First she was going to steal the job, then she was going to do it, then she was going to get paid. She hadn’t gotten paid for the job that nearly killed her, but that didn’t matter. That just needed to be done… and she’d been happy to do it, if happy could even be the word.

It was dark out and Tabitha waked along with ease. She happened upon a girl from Blue Pegasus. It was clear from the bold placement of her guild mark. Tabitha’s tattoo was on her hip, and no one saw it unless she needed them to. It was self-preservation. She was proud of herself. Proud of her guild? Well that was quite the question. She closed in on the Blue Pegasus, talking to her about the area. Apparently Tabitha should be careful, it was dangerous out here. The little fledgling was adorable, worrying about Tabby. She actually laughed, saying she could take care of herself. No, the girl insisted, it was dangerous. A lady named Raylin had been to the guild, talking about ghosts. Ghost bothering people at the gravesite, hm? Tabitha said she could handle it. No, no really, she’d be fine. The girl said she was going to take care of it, so Tabitha didn’t have to. She seemed so nice, so naïve. Tabitha gently put her hand on the girl’s shoulder, insisting that she would take care of it. The girl blushed and moved away. It took another ten minutes of distraction before the girl actually left from nervousness. Tabitha wasn’t sure if flirting with her was a good idea or not, but at least she had the area to herself. Now to see about that ghost.

Inside the cemetery wasn’t all that interesting. Tabitha missed the knife play and banter she’d had the last time. Now all she was doing was sitting. Luckily it wasn’t more than a half hour before something happened. A translucent figure with silver hair and silver eyes appeared. Tabitha stared at it. Her first instinct was illusion magic. She did not believe in ghosts, but she sure believed in magic. She threw a knife at the creature, but her knife went through it. She jerked the knife back to her hand. She did this a few times, nothing changed. Eventually Tabitha moved closer to the image, pushing her hand through air, and seeing the reflecting on her skin she stopped. She held up a knife, and saw which direction this light was coming from. Following that she found a projector. “Oh come on, at least put some ambiance into this! Are people really this easily frightened?” She scowled and started sneaking around slowly.

She noticed another light source, a fire flickering in the distance. Tabitha managed to gracefully travel close enough that she could see two figures around the fire. They were chattering away happily, oblivious to her presence, and she noticed bags of money. Well, simple enough… bandits and a stupid scheme. I can’t exactly get paid for this job… but I can take their money as compensation.

Come on… can’t you think of a better hiding place than the crime scene? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised,” Tabitha said as she walked up. The goons stood immediately, pulling their masks up over their faces. She let a knife spin on her finger tip, pulled by an invisible wire, “you couldn’t even come up with an interesting crime. And here I was… hoping you might give me some good entertainment. Tsk, tsk… unimpressive,” she scolded them lightly.

One said something about her leaving. One said she had no more warnings, they were going to attack. She smirked. Maybe this would prove more entertaining than figure out their scheme. They powered up with a rage spell and one charged at her. Brute force easily dodged by the black widow. She jumped to the side, then kept rolling to avoid a large rock thrown at her person. Oh, was this the game? Distraction and damage? How adorable.

The string magic user had a lot of stamina for this. She kept flipping about, jumping, running, rolling, but eventually tired of the little exercise regimen. She tossed her rope spell at the charger and yanked him off his feet. She tossed a spell at him to keep him paralyzed before throwing all four knives in rapid succession at the other. Apparently poison was a delightful distraction, so in a moment she was in his face. A stab in the arm was just the thing to settle him down. She didn’t think now was a good time to wait around and chat, so Tabitha grabbed up their bags of money and went about her way whistling. This would be a good payday, and she was so amused from insulting them that she wasn’t truly bored. Still, she would need more entertainment soon. This had proved harmless, but she knew better than to go too long without excitement. She could get hurt if she got bored enough, and she didn’t really want more possible scars.
