Charlotte was desperately trying to become powerful. In fact, she was at the edge of insanity, barely keeping herself from falling into its abyss by desperately clinging onto reality and the fact of the situations. She was not Charlotte in public anymore. Anyone except those in the Council knew where Charlotte is. In her place, there is only a big whirlpool of confusion, anger and betrayal. Charlotte is just a Spiral now. It’s on one of those days of hunting power and answers that Charlotte or rather Sophia for the time being stumbled onto a request board with a green paper stuck to it saying something along the lines of bring back a traitor. Perfect job for the agitated Spiral, she would say. Ever since her brother changed sides and almost killed their father, Sophia had fallen a few steps back on her road to happiness. IN fact, after seeing her father’s barely moving body, Charlotte had vowed to take revenge and bring her brother back to their side. She just knew…her brother...her beloved brother would never do these things consciously. He was above that she wanted to believe he is still sane somewhere deep down.

Reading the request carefully, Sophia came to a stop right in front of a big building with a big board saying “C Company” in fancy letters at the top. Her now short and silver colored hair swayed in the wind as she turned her head to the right and then to the left in a few lazy movements. When she entered the company, what greeted her was a cold and all too familiar frustrated aura that Sophia ignored for the most part as she made her way through to the room of Niles, evading the many questionable stares she received along the way. In her quest to find his room however, Sophia came across a group of crowded men looking like they are about to kill someone. She figured it was because they got betrayed much like her….if not so severe.

When she met Niles, she had to lean her head back a little to completely see his face. The agitated stare conveyed way too many things that words cannot even hope to convey as Sophia nodded and asked for further details. Apparently, the traitor Troy was Niles’ best friend…almost a brother and recently, he stole something very valuable. She could relate to Niles in so many ways and she just assured him with a small smile before walking out of the messy room which she could have sworn was once kept very neat and tidy. It symbolized many things in many ways, she realized as she closed the door and stepped out.

Outside, Sophia was already calculating her moves to capture Troy. From the information she gathered from Niles and a few of his trusted supporters, Sophia marked her first destination as Hosenka before walking off. She had no time to pack anything or rather, she had nothing to pack as she made her way to Hosenka with the use of the train system. Ever since SH took over, there had been a vast increase in dark mages and nowhere was safe from them. Sophia managed to go past them somehow without attracting much attention as she boarded the next train to Hosenka. She would have a lot of ground work to do before finding Troy, she understood with a small sigh, leaning back to the leather cushions.

Sophia looked around Hosenka train station once before walking off to a random direction. She wasn’t exactly paying attention to the location nor did she have any place in mind. For the time being, she was going to walk around the town doing nothing but a little investigation. For someone who fled with a rather rare item, shouldn’t he be undercover or something? Well, that was her initial thought till she heard some women talk about Hosk and how he visits their pub every night. She didn’t stick around to hear the details of the women’s encounter with him as she walked out of the market place and took a rather decent route towards the Hosenka park. Though it was famous for its hot springs, Hosenka was not at all far behind on the natural beauty part. In fact, Hosenka had some nice scenery that Charlotte used to visit while the world around her was not in a so called chaotic stage. However, Charlotte or rather Sophia for the time being still visits those places just so that she won’t lose hold of her grip on her human side to insanity. If it wasn’t for Matt and a few other council members, she would have truly gone insane.

Noticing a couple of scared old people to the far east corner of an ally way, Sophia took cautious yet soft steps towards them, noticing them pressing further against the wall as if they were scared of something following them. “I don’t know who you two are scared of but whoever it is, it’s not me….” She trailed off coming into the light so that they can see her face. They must have noticed her amber eyes at first for they backed up again before they fully took notice of her appearance that was a simple white T with black jeans.

“Wh-who are you?” they asked, their breathes shaky most probably from running so much from someone, she guessed as she walked over to them and helped them up. “I can ask you two the same thing. What or rather who were you two running from?” She asked, clapping her hands together to get the dust off after helping the two men up. They looked at her curiously at first, mostly debating whether to trust her or not she could tell from just the looks they gave her. They hesitated at first before speaking up after a few seconds long pause. “It’s Hosk…”

Just her luck she ended up meeting two of the numerous people under Troy’s debt that are running from him. It didn’t take the silver haired girl much of her precious time to have them spill the location of the very man she was searching for. In fact, once they heard she was here to take him back to where he came from, the two of them instantly started giving her a detailed direction towards where exactly she could find him. As amusing as that was, Sophia gave them one hard glance before walking off, vaguely hearing the sound of one of them falling to the ground. Did she get that scary?

Standing in front of a rundown building, Sophia calculated the various possibilities of approaching this. She could stick around for a bit and strike at the right time or she could monitor them and turn their attention somewhere else before attacking…but the only problem she faced with most of those plans was…time. If she really wanted to finish the whole thing without taking a while, the only option was to simply barge into the room with no plan what so ever. Even though that sounded cool to her, the problem was that she had heard of this frost sword as well…It was powerful even though she possibly had an advantage with her lightning magic. Shaking her head and clearing the thoughts away, Sophia decided to just walk in and see what happens with time.

The loud noise of door hitting the wall caught the three lackeys’ attention as Sophia walked in with her hands inside her jeans pocket. This scene must have been common for them for none of them even bothered to get up from their spot on the ground beside Hosk who was leaning against a few boxes which contained drugs from what Sophia could get. “Wow…this really must be a common scenario for you idiots…” she repeated her thoughts, walking straight towards one of them with a grin. Maybe it was because they thought of her as a simple girl, the guy made movements to grab a hold of Sophia which she easily negated by landing a kick to his face.

That must have brought her enough attention from the others for they were already coming after her. It didn’t take her much time with her advanced martial arts techniques. She had one of them pinned to the ground with her knees while she had a hold of the other’s neck with her right hand. The third one was still recovering from the shock of getting kicked on the face, sprawled over on the ground. Hosk was staring straight at the petite looking girl that managed to overtake his three supporters. When Sophia released them after realizing the fact that she would choke them to death, the three simply ran away leaving Hosk and the amber eyed girl to fight it out. “You call them supporters?” she asked Hosk who had a look of hurt in his eyes. “Reminds you of yourself who ran away from your own friend, doesn’t it?” she continued, not taking her eyes off of his. “What…Don’t joke! They were not my friends! Niles was never my friend either!” he screamed but the flustered look he gave told her otherwise.

“No one….no one was ever my friend!” he yelled at the silver haired girl again who raised one of her eyebrows before summoning her lightning whips to her side. “I don’t know what actually put that thought into your head but from what I could see, Niles was more worried about you than the frost sword you took from him…” she said, walking towards him with the whips making an x in front of her as she swung them both forward in a rhythm. He backed off, the sound of his legs hitting the large carbon boxes stopping him. He looked back, spat on it in anger and looked back at Charlotte again. In terms of strength, Charlotte had a small disadvantage but her lightning magic could overpower his frost sword if she used things right. “Niles told me not to kill you….more than the frost sword, he wanted to see you again…” Charlotte continued, her mind going into thinking mode for a bit on how she would act if her brother came and stood in front of her now.

The clanking sound of something falling on the floor snapped her out of her thoughts as she found the sword on the ground with Troy standing over it, his face a mixture of shock and relief. “You want to go back too…don’t you?” she asked, not having to stick around for his answer. She read it from his expression. Sighing, she broke off her spell before putting a hand in front of him to take. “Come on…let’s go back…I’m sure he would forgive you if you talk with him. He should be able to understand you,” the girl said with a small smile. When she felt his cold hands connecting with her’s she closed her palm over his hands and pulled him forward with her, stopping to take the sword along as well. She can’t forget the object of all the trouble, after all.

He was hesitant at first in going out of the warehouse but when Sophia tugged him forward, he stumbled a bit before following after her like a lost puppy. She smiled, hoping that her brother would return like this one day…No matter what he did, she would forgive him….that what siblings are….right? she sighed as she stopped at the train station. She nodded ahead at the grown man before nudging him towards his seat, taking one for herself before looking out of the window with other thoughts filling her mind.

When they got back to Niles’ company, she winced when she saw the force of Niles’ punch on Troy before they both fell into silence and then hugged each other. Sighing, she turned around, motioning at Niles to pay her back for everything later. The thankful look he gave the girl was all she needed for then.
