Every character has attributes - that is to say, physical and mental strengths and weaknesses. In Fairy Tail Revolution, we represent that using the star rating system, a system that rates characters' abilities on a scale of 1 to 6, where 1 is abysmal, 6 is amazing, and 3... well 3 is a normal person. This is to help visualize how a character's abilities compare to another's. Remember to be fair and not godmod using your powers. Just because you can take a punch doesn't mean that another character can't beat you in a fight.

The exact meaning of each point's worth in an attribute is kept vague intentionally. With exact math to work with it becomes tempting to say one person will win a fight due to simple mathematical calculations, and the stats given within the site's rules are vague in order to prevent this.

A character has five attributes for you to attach ratings to when you create them. here's an explanation of each:

Power - How strong is your character, physically speaking? When they hit you does it hurt? Or are they on the scrawnier side, depending on their magic to give them an edge in a fight?

Agility - How quick is your character? Are they slow and steady? or are they fast as lightning? A high agility means your character is fast! But that doesn't mean they can't be caught, only that they can react more quickly than most.

Toughness - Can your character take a punch? A lower toughness means they might have a glass jaw for one reason or another. A good punch might take them down, though if they're quick enough it might not matter. A higher toughness means that they'll take several good punches to bring down.

Intelligence - How good is your character at reasoning skills? Are they highly educated, or at least naturally quite smart? A low intelligence doesn't necessarily mean they're dumb, but it does mean they'll be rather slow on the uptake. A high intelligence pretty much means the character is quick-witted or a genius of some kind.

Willpower - How stubborn is your character? Do they stand firm in the face of death or do they run and hide so they can lick their wounds later? A higher willpower means they don't scare easily, socially or physically. But that might not always be a good thing.

Determining Your Attributes

I'm guessing you'd like to know how to determine your character's attributes. Well, that's easy enough. you have Fifteen *'s to put into your five attributes. Each attribute needs at least one star. Why? Because everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Almost no one is average across the board!

While these can be raised, they won't be raised often. Why? Because this is simply used as a comparison between characters. Like I said before, don't use your ***** in Agility to claim somone with a * can't hit you. Rather, they'll hit you less, most likely, but no one can evade every hit.

Another note is that limited magic users, such as Dragon Slayers, get to start with 18 *'s due to their special nature. It's a bit more, but since they're special it just makes sense.

Never forget: Even the most powerful characters and abilities are only as good as their roleplayers. The best roleplayers never use their advantages to take away the fun from others.
