Experience and the like

So I've noticed a distinct lack of D-rank missions for guildless mages such as myself to go on and wanted to know if missions are the only way to gain xp. Couldn't find anything on it in the rules. Could someone please clear this up for me?

you gain 1 exp per post in a thread, but missions give you jewels, fame, and bonus exp. You're welcome to use the template to make more missions and submit them to the "member job submissions" section. Keep in mind though that D-rank missions are generally easy jobs for beginners, and have no requirement for any sort of fight. You can also take guild missions, but they take 10% of your profits off the top for not being one of them.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, plus I didn't know you could accept missions from the guilds.

On a side note is it allowed to accept missions you make yourself.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the last question, but you can take missions without asking as long as they're no more than one rank higher than you and you haven't done them yet (unless they're designed to be repeatable).

Note that if a mission is a rank higher than you, they should be hard for your character, but not impossible. And if you're making a mission multiple posts, solo topics can only be posted in every half hour.

I think you can do missions you have written up yourself. For example, I created the mission Nightfall: The Unbreakable Cursed Sword? and got credit for running it.
