Three thousand six hundred years have passed since the beginning of the third great World War. It was a short blip in the grand scheme of things, and was the beginning of humanity’s fall. The world was plunged into a man-made darkness—and the world was there to pounce when we were at our weakest. The animals, plants, insects… everything had undergone rapid genetic mutations during the dark ages of man—changes that would prove to be lethal as we tried to rebuild. Those who survived were forced into hiding—and those who hid, not all returned. There are now two colonies left under the great branches of Yggdrasil. One which holds the power of genetics, humans with special powers—the other which holds the power of magic, a people blessed with the spiritual gift to achieve miracles. Without these people dubbed ‘Terraformers’ there would be no survival.
