Han's Starting Gear Functions Empty Han's Starting Gear Functions

Magic: "Re-Equip": Hyper Power Climax Hero
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Using the belt module that Han and his deceased brother Shen developed, Han is able to transport power suits and weapons from a secret location to his person. The belt module - located where the buckle of a normal belt would be - isn't just a teleporter, but also the entire center of control for the suits and their abilities. The module is designed to be used with small markers shaped like coins - which he keeps in a dispenser at the back of the belt - and a scanner that normally rests on the hip of the belt. Han inserts the markers into the module that correspond with the suit and weapons he wishes to transport and readies them for scanning by clicking the module so it is set diagonally. He then takes the scanner, round in shape, and swipes it along the module. A signal is then sent to the place he stashes his items to teleport them to his person. The suit is automatically equipped to him and the weapons are teleported either to his hand or some place on his suit for holstering. If he wishes to switch out any item, all he needs to do is put the module back into standby position and change the markers, set them, and scan the module again.

In order to activate an item or suit's ability, Han inserts one of a different set of markers into a module on the hip opposite fo the scanner and then slaps it with his hand. The marker contains the information on which ability Han wishes to activate and the belt module will command the suit or weapon to perform that ability.

As a personal touch, much to his more serious brother's chagrin, Han added a voice feature to the belt module that loudly declares the items being sent and the tacky names Han has come up with for the "forms" and various abilities of his superhero persona in a boisterous and cheesy voice.

Since Han has absolutely no magical talent or ability, the belt has an internal power source the abilities draw upon. It utilizes lacrima for power and once the battery is spent, he can no longer use the belt or items/suits' functions. Naturally, transporting items and suits also takes power to perform.

The belt's current power remaining replaces Han's non-existent mana count. When he goes up in rank then it means he's upgraded the belt module to allow for more advanced and destructive suits and weapons along with a larger power source. Also, when he "trains" a new "spell" he usually is developing a new item, suit, or ability and its marker.

Strengths: The sheer versatility is the belt's best feature. If Han can develop it then he can use it in battle. It allows him to adjust on the fly to any situation as long as he has the available gadgets. Also, every suit provides some passive protection and enhancement depending on said suit along with the abilities he develops for them.

Weaknesses: If the belt module is destroyed or lost then he is completely helpless. Likewise, if the scanner or hip module are destroyed or lost then he can't transport or use any abilities. Also, transport of items is not quite as instantaneous as "real" re-equip as he does need to prepare the markers and then set and scan them first. The transport is instant, but the set up isn't and he is usually vulnerable during it.

Function Name: Transport Item
Element: Spacial
Rank: Han's Level
Belt Power Cost: Equal to the highest level function the item can perform. (Free to dismiss)
Effect: Han transports an item from his secret bunker to his person, but only if he is able to wield it when transported. For weapons, this means that the required number of hands must be free. For armor, he must not already have some sort of armor equipped.

Shen and Han developed the technology for spacial displacement and instantaneous transportation together when they lived at the university. The concept is that the item in question is broken down into its base elements which are converted into data which the device at the destination uses to reconstruct the item. It was easily their largest breakthrough and they were about to take the next step - human transportation - when the Kragol attack on the university took Shen's life.

Function Name: Alpha Suit - Power Mode
Element: Climax
Rank: 2
Belt Power Cost: 15 + 8 every following post
Effect: Han inserts the Power Marker into the hip module and slaps it. The bet module loudly shouts "ENGAGE! POWER MODE!" and the red lines on the suit begin to fill with red light starting from the belt module. Once they all light up, the helmet's "eyes" illuminate a bright yellow and the suit's strength and speed outputs are enhanced for as long as the belt module's power can sustain it.

This function of the Alpha Suit was developed as a last resort mechanism. Much like overclocking a computer, this mode brings out better performance from the suit, but it also can be taxing on the components. As such, it is only usable as long as there is available power from the belt module to sustain it. This fail safe was developed by Shen so that the function wasn't using the suit's internal power. Otherwise, there would be no easy way to turn off the function and the suit's wearer would be at risk.

Function Name: Climax Kick
Element: Climax
Rank: 1
Belt Power Cost: 10
Effect: Han inserts the Climax Marker in the hip module and slaps it. The belt loudly proclaims "R-R-R-READY! CLIMAX KICK!" and the red lines on the Alpha Suit's right leg fill with red light until it reaches his ankle. This function concentrates a portion of the suit's physical enhancement abilities into one spot. Han can then perform a forceful kick that impacts usually in the form of an explosion of sparks from the overload of the circuitry in the leg of the suit upon contact. If a direct hit, the target is also knocked back five feet.

Han discovered this function while testing the physical enhancement capabilities of the suit. He wanted to see what would happen when he concentrated all of the power in one limb. The result wound up being impressive, but it overloaded the circuitry in the limb used and fried some of the components. So, to deal with the problem, he developed self-repairing circuits and installed them in the limbs of the suit. It takes a bit for the components to recover before he can use the function again, but this allows him to overload the circuits intentionally for an added blast of impact when the kick connects. It also makes a very flashy display when the sparks from the fried circuits rush out of the suit.

Function Name: Alpha Slash
Element: Climax
Rank: 1
Belt Power Cost: 10
Effect: Han inserts the Blade Marker into the hip module and then slaps it. The belt module loudly exclaims "R-R-R-READY! ALPHA SLASH!" and the Alphacalibur's blade fills with a red light. With it, Han can perform a slash to send out a red crescent-shaped projectile the same length as the blade that travels in a straight line.

When playing with the Alpha suit's main power source (which Han has named "Climax Energy") Han and Shen decided to try utilizing it in other ways. As with electricity, the energy was effective at damaging as much as it was at supplying power. Early tests were dangerous, but made progress in eventually weaponizing the energy in forms such as lasers and other projectiles. Shen seemed to lack the same vision Han did, only wanting to use it as the hybrid power source/ammunition for firearms. Han, being as obsessed with superheroes as he is, managed to find a way to modify the melee weapons he had developed so they could utilize this new use for climax energy. He retrofit his sword with a new core that ran to the tip of the blade made of the same material as the lines in the Alpha Suit so he could circulate the energy through it. After fashioning a new blade made of a more conductive gold alloy, he experimented with how to fire the energy. Nothing really satisfied him until he accidentally broke the switch to break the climax circuit in the sword, leaving it in a constant loop. He still has no idea how it works, but Han discovered - in his frantic flailing about trying to keep the weapon from exploding - that a quick arcing motion will cause the energy to manifest in a projectile much like his brother's weapons only in a large crescent shape.
