Metal and Iron

The Gunslinger glanced back at the crowd as Hannah snipped at them. The awkward shuffled from the majority of them was actually pretty funny. He watched her as her face softened up as he settled in "First Impressions right?" he shrugged through his comment and gave her a wink.

He leaned onto the rail and leaned into Hannah a bit, his shoulder softly landing against hers, as he gave out a cool down sigh. The land behind the boat sauntered further away as the ferry trudged along. His legs were certainly feeling it, he must be slipping out of the adventuring shape, so these are civilian problems. Weird. "I guess us vagrant types just can't keep away from the road. I think that's why the guild life was an easy one to slide into. Get a job when you need the cash, friendly faces, and a place to call home."[/color] He looked over to his green haired travel companion. "You know what I mean?"

A Bell tolled at the halfway point, it wasn't very far, they could've easily built a bridge, I guess a ferry makes it feel more exclusive. "Almost there now" Roejaster noticed a forties-something gentleman who was leaning over the rail not looking to hot "Too bad they don't hand out sea legs with the life jackets" he chuckled a bit at his own joke, before turning back to Hannah "You ready for some much deserved R&R?"

First impressions were right, and he made good impressions. She couldn’t help but smile at him when he winked. He was quite the charmer when he wanted to be. Hannah liked that about him. She liked a lot of things about him.

When he leaned into her she leaned right back, using him to help hold her up a bit. This was comfortable, and almost too cute. She might have to do something about that. Hannah was not the cute type. Her legs were feeling it too, she needed to go walking more, or work out her legs more. This pain thing was for the birds. ”I know what you mean. The guild life gives you a good home base and source of money. Its hard to pass that up, but… the friendly faces are nice. I’m not that close to anyone at the guild.” She knew Roejaster was a lot more personable than she was, and he had to know a lot more people.

The ride was going quickly, that was good. Hannah’s head perked up a bit and looked at the bell when it rang. She didn’t want to be on the water any longer than she had to. ”Good… I don’t like the water.” That was only because of the swimming things. She looked over at the man Roejaster pointed out, if he puked she didn’t want to be around. ”Yes I am. Got anything fun in mind we should do? I’ve never been here before.”

"Well out of the gate." He paused for a moment as the arrival horn sounded "I was thinking we check in, change real quick, and meet for our dinner reservations at 8. I hope you like fish." he smirked at her, he had been excited to let her know that he got them reservations at 'Star Light' one of the most popular restaurants at the resort, but he figured he'd keep it a surprise, until they got there. "Then we'll see what the night has in store for us." The Ferry came to a bit of a soft jerk as it was anchored and reeled into the dock.

Stood up straight and rolled his shoulder as a pop sounded from it, he slung Hannah's bag onto his shoulder "Shall we Miss James?" he grinned and turned from the railing following the crowd exiting to dry land. The lights, the atmosphere, and the sounds of a good time filled their senses. It really was an adult playground, of course any kind of theme park is kid friendly. The group was greeted by beautiful women in short kimonos, each one almost identically pretty to the next. In unison the welcoming committee "Hello and welcome to the Akane Resort!" they then clapped and started placing flower leis on the guests walking through. A green, blue, and yellow assortment was placed around Hannah's neck, as a purple, red, and white one was placed around Roejaster's. Roejaster nodded to the girl and looked at Hannah to see how she was taking the scene.

They strolled through the doors and into the grand foyer, a massive marble clad neon lit room leading to a front desk. Roejaster lead the way to the receptionist. She smiled at the two and bowed "Why hello, welcome to Akane Resort. Can I get your name sir?"
Roejaster took his hat in his hand and leaned a little into the desk, "Course, Gattry Bailey." She leaned down to her lacrima powered archive and typed something in for a moment, Roejaster coyly grinned and winked at Hannah. The receptionist perked up "Ah! Here you are Mr. Bailey! You have two rooms right across from each other, floor 12- room 16 and room 17." She slid the keys across the desk, the gunslinger nodded to the girl "Thanks".  Roejaster picked up the keys and handed number 17's set to Hannah, then he glanced up to a large magical hologram of  ornate clock, then back to Hannah "Looks like we're set. Our restaurant reservation is for the restaurant on the top floor. Seems we've got about an hour until then." The two set off toward the elevator.

”What… reservations? Really?” She was not expecting that in the slightest. She looked uneasy and fidgety, but not in a bad way, she just had no idea what to do with this. They were going out to dinner, at some place you needed reservations for. That was… new. Hannah didn’t have any fancy clothes, and she wouldn’t have wanted to wear them if she had them. But she probably would have dressed up if she knew this was coming, but the surprise was sweet and unexpected. ”You’re just full of surprises…”

Hannah followed the cowboy off the boat without saying a word. The sight of this place was really something. Hannah couldn’t stop looking around even if she wanted to. Her senses were abuzz. She could enjoy a place like this. It was more happening than she was used to, but it looked fun and exciting. She smiled at the cute girl that put the leis on her neck. This definitely felt like a vacation. She looked at her cowboy escort. ”I could definitely get used to this.”

Roejaster had this all planned out. That was fine with Hannah she followed along as he got their rooms. Oh? He was going by an alias. That was kind of hot, Hannah wouldn’t lie. She smirked at Roejaster when he winked at her. He could be a player if he really wanted to. Once they had their keys, Hannah headed for the elevator and hit the button. ”Well… do I need to wear anything nice for this restaurant that takes reservations? If so I have nothing to wear.”

"Now that's up to you, because there's one more surprise waiting in your room when you get there." he said as he walked into the casino stylized elevator, smiling at her, before leaning against a hand rail on the back. Though cool and collected on the outside, Roejaster was pretty close to breaking. He actually had butterflies knotting up his stomach at this point, he had called ahead and purchased a few choices for evening wear and had them delivered to the room before hand. "Am I laying it on too thick?..." He thought to himself. He reached over and pressed the "12" button, it illuminated and the doors closed.  The elevator softly jerked as it ascended. The elevator would make a soft ding as they passed another floor, he took a deep breath and dissipated the nerves a little. Roejaster placed his hand closest to Hannah on the railing. The elevator finally toned when it arrived at 12 and the doors slid open, Roejaster extended his arm "Badass metal mages first" he bowed a little and smirked.

They didn't have to stroll far before they reached their rooms, right across from one another. Roejaster put his key in his door and opened the entry way, he pushed the door open and glanced inside to the lavish suite, he turned back to Hannah before he headed inside to get ready. "So see you in about an hour?" he smiled at her, his eyes looking with an earnest glint to them.

Walked into his room and opened the curtains to the bay window, looking out at the gorgeous island and theme park, he had given Hannah the beach front view, and sat at the end of his bed "This trip is going to be great" he said to himself. He then sighed, stood up, and set his hat on the dresser in front of him, looking into the mirror, his hair was the laid down/slightly messy look it typically was. He shrugged off his trench coat and held his hand out, his silver light shone before a black vest, white button up shirt, and black slacks appeared draped over his arm. As he assembled his even outfit, putting the last button into place, he walked into the connected bathroom and started the faucet, running his hands through them, he then ran his hands through his hair pulling it back. As he looked up to the finished product, he smirked "It's been a bit since you were this done up."
